‘Introduction to Planning’ training session

We are pleased to offer an ‘Introduction to Planning’ training session on Saturday, 16th September.  This will be particularly helpful if you are new to planning or wish to refresh/improve  your understanding of the planning system and for those who wish to be more effective when responding to planning applications.
 
Date: Saturday, 16th September
Time: 10.00 – 13.00
Venue: The Function Room, The Clair Hall, Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 3DN
Travel: Walking distance from station, by car: free parking  (pass obtained from Clair Hall reception on arrival)
Cost: Free to CPRE members, suggested £5 donation from non-members
 
Our timings for the event are:
 
10.00 Arrival, tea/coffee
 
10.15 Session 1: The Anatomy of Planning:   

  • the legal framework governing planning
  • core planning principles
  • adopting strategic local plans
  • the planning application process

       Session 2: The examination: how to look at a planning application
 
       Tea/coffee break
 
       Session 3: The diagnosis: workshop to identify key issues on an actual planning application
