Celebrate the extraordinary beauty and value of our trees in Sussex with the Tree Festival 2026!

A walk with the Lost Woods of the Low Weald and Downs project 

11am-1:00pm Hassocks

A guided circular walk of 2.5 miles through ancient woodland with Bob Epsom, Outreach Advisor for the Woodland Trust. He’ll discuss the importance of these centuries old habitats, as well as help you spot ancient and veteran trees.

Meet: Western side of Hassocks Train Station, BN6 8JD (carpark side)

Family friendly, dogs on short leads. No toilets, nearest are at the Station. The walk is through private woodlands in Hassocks and Butchers woods, owned by the Woodland Trust.

Uneven ground, stiles and some areas prone to waterlogging. Unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
