Have your say on Wealden ‘Focused’ draft local plan

The Consultation on the ‘Focused’ Draft Wealden (Regulation 18) Local Plan runs from  6 February to 5pm 30 March 2026.

Wealden District Council is preparing a new Local Plan which will be the key planning document for the district, excluding the area covered by the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) which has planning powers for its area.

Once adopted, the Local Plan will replace all existing local plan policies and will be used to assess and make decisions on planning applications.

Have your say before Wealden District Council develops and tests the plan further and publishes the Proposed Submission Local Plan for Consultation (Regulation 19) later this year.

You can comment on the overall spatial strategy, the individual site allocations and/or any of the Plan’s draft policies.
