13 Sept, 10.30am; Pevensey Levels Walk

5th January 2026

Explore Pevensey’s past on a guided walk through the castle grounds and marshes, returning riverside to this former ‘limb’ of the Cinque Ports, with local expert Dr Geoffrey Mead.

Walk details: We’ll walk from Henfield village hall along sunken lanes through a Lower Greensand landscape; sandy lanes turn into heavier clay and some delightful woodland before the walk takes us across open pastures to Henfield Common, and by a series of twittens through the village housing back to the carpark.
