CPRE Sussex meets Robert Jenrick, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government

On 21 September 2020, CPRE Sussex Trustee Stephen Hardy MBE joined other CPRE branches and CPRE CEO Crispin Truman in an online meeting with Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

The CPRE network used this opportunity to challenge elements of the planning reforms out for consultation including the new standard method for calculating housing need,  the reduction in rural  affordable housing  as a result  of the  uplift from minimum 10 plus sites  to 40  or 50 where affordable provision must be made and the reduced ability of local people to influence local planning  decisions.
