Horsham DC recommended to focus on preparing new local plan

Horsham Local Plan 2023-2040 was submitted in July 2024 and examined by the Planning Inspectorate in December 2024.

The Planning Inspector’s Interim Findings Letter to Horsham District Council, dated 4 April, and Horsham District Council’s initial response to the Inspector’s findings have now been posted on the Council’s website.

The Inspector recommends that the Council withdraw the Plan and “focus its resources on rapidly preparing a new Local Plan”. Horsham District Council is continuing to review the contents of the Inspector’s letter and consider all options.
