‘Major planning reforms may see even more of county being earmarked for housing’
A major Sussex newspaper has picked up on CPRE Sussex’s August 6 press release that say government reforms could be ‘catastrophic’.
The two-page article in the West Sussex County Times says: ‘Sweeping changes to the planning would leave West Sussex having to build an extra 2,234 homes each year’.
It quotes CPRE Sussex as warning that: ‘the proposals could hand thousands of acres of rural Sussex over to developers who will be able to build without going through the planning process.’
