Visitors flock to CPRE Sussex Countryside Day 2026

9th September 2026

Organisers thank everyone who made celebration of the countryside a success.

The fourth annual CPRE Sussex Countryside Day has been hailed as another success by organisers.

Held at the Seven Sisters Country Park on Sunday (September 6), the event included free craft activities, a guided walk and even a birthday cake.

Professor of biology and best-selling author Dave Goulson gave a talk in the Pump Barn and there was a film screening to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the national CPRE charity.

The event was also an opportunity to meet the amazing volunteers and staff helping shape a greener future for Sussex.

Nancy Duckels, CPRE Sussex Campaigns and Communications Manager, said: “Countryside Day is an opportunity to celebrate the amazing landscapes and habitats we have on our doorstep here in Sussex. It is also a chance to find out more about the amazing work being done to protect, celebrate and regenerate our countryside and green spaces.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success, the visitors who joined us on the day and, of course, our hosts at the Seven Sisters Country Park.”
