Visitors flock to Sussex Tree Festival 2026

Hundreds of visitors attend events celebrating the value and beauty of trees across Sussex.

The third Sussex Tree Festival has been hailed a ‘fantastic success’ with visitors of all ages attending events across the county.

This year saw music, creative workshops, guided walks and more – all helping to raise awareness of the value and beauty of trees.

The Tree Festival is organised annually by CPRE Sussex in collaboration with local volunteers and community groups.

Nancy Duckels, campaigns and communications manager CPRE Sussex, said: “It has been wonderful to see so many people come out, have fun and learn more about the amazing trees on our doorstep here in Sussex. Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s events, and a special thank you to the amazing volunteers who once again made the event possible.”

The winners of this year’s ‘I love this tree because…’ photo competition will be announced later this month.

Shortlisted work will be exhibited in venues across Sussex including Brighton’s Jubilee Library Foyer Gallery.

Selected work will also be shown on the CPRE Sussex website gallery at cpresussex.org.uk.
