Sally Pavey, Trustee, reflects on nature

I hold excitement for the natural world and marvel at how each year it recreates itself and welcomes the seasons.

Walking every day as I do amongst fields of undisturbed pastures, finding unusual plants such as the Common Cowparsnip that would seem more at home in Jurassic Park than in Sussex. Wildlife fluttering, singing, collecting food, it never ceases to amaze me, a canvas of a natural work of colour that is always changing, but sadly is in demise due to mankind.

We are all so fortunate to be living in Sussex with so many footpaths that ramble through farm land and countryside on our doorstep – long may it last. To this effect I support CPRE as the countryside charity and in particular the Sussex branch which is active in endeavouring to preserve and protect the countryside that I enjoy and that I wish for future generations to enjoy for many years to come.
