Explore this stunning, unique informal garden with head gardener Alex New.

This amazing hidden gem was established in 1909 as an experiment to see what would grow on the South Downs. Still evolving, it is eye opening. A wonderful living library!

Meet: Visitors Centre, Highdown, Highdown Rise, Worthing BN12 6FB

20 people maximum. Assistance dogs only. The 8.5 acre garden is steep in places, the Sensory Garden is wheelchair accessible. Please enjoy the plants, treat them with respect and don’t climb trees! Tea room, toilets and parking adjacent.
