Hedgerows Photography Competition

Hedgerows are a wonderful feature of the Sussex landscape. They provide homes and food for wildlife including our much-loved hedgehogs. Calling all photographers – it’s time to get snapping hedgerows!

We hope you’ll take photographs while you are on the CPRE Sussex Hedgerow Hike in September – find out how to join at: www.cpresussex.org.uk/discover-your-countryside/hedgerow-hike/

But if you can’t join the Hedgerow Hike, you can still enter our Photography Competition.

You can submit photographs which capture the beauty and interest of Sussex hedgerows – whether in the wider landscape; a close-up of hedgerow life; or an action shot.

Anyone can enter – and send us up to three photos taken in Sussex this September. There are three age categories:

Category 1: Under age 12

Category 2: Age 12-16

Category3: Age 17+

Prizes are books and the opportunity to have your photo posted on our website, or included in our newsletter or other publications.

Please let us know where you took the photo, plus anything else you want to tell us about it.

If you are under 18, please include your age, plus permission from your parents/guardians to enter the competition.

Photos should ideally be between 1MB and 5 MB size, about 1900×1200 pixels. Landscape format is preferable but not essential.

Please email your entries to info@cpresussex.org.uk using the heading CPRE Sussex Photography Competition.
