Become a Tree Champion

If you have a little spare time this is an opportunity to get stuck in and do what you’re best at or most interested in, and help grow our city’s forest.

After our successful project launch this summer we have had so many groups from across the city asking if we can help them get trees planted in their area that we now need to build up a working group of volunteers to help them make it happen.

We are aiming to increase the money available to plant more trees and

–  help and advise local groups to get trees planted

–  involve schools and young people in the project,

–  train volunteer city ‘tree wardens’, who as they go about their daily business, are able to spot disease, damage, or gaps where trees have been lost and need replacing

– take on research projects, for example into trees and carbon store – and to

– spread the word!
