‘I love this tree because…’

Submit one to three photographs of your favourite tree. One, a tree ‘portrait’ and if you wish to extend your vision, one or two additional evocative pictures of the tree or elements of it. You can also creatively expand your vision to include, for example, wildlife, buildings and people or take another approach and visually express the feelings or emotions aroused by trees.

Your chosen tree must be found in the city or the green spaces surrounding it. Anywhere within Brighton & Hove’s boundaries, from the city centre east to Rottingdean, north to the boundry of Pyecombe or west to Shoreham Port.

The judges will shortlist twelve submissions and select three winners from which an overall winner will be chosen. First prize is £150.00 and two £75 prizes. The North Laine Hair Company have offered a haircut as the fourth prize!

The finalists work will be exhibited in the Jubilee Library Foyer Gallery in June and at the CPRE Sussex AGM in July. In addition, selected work will be shown on the CPRE Sussex website gallery.
