We are helping community groups to plant trees on many sites in Brighton & Hove

Sylvan Hall Community Orchard

We planted eight fruit trees and a native hedge around the site in February 2021.

West Hove School

The new hedge

We contributed funding towards an evergreen hedge to reduce pollution in the school playground, the hedge was planted in November 2020.

Wellsbourne Community Garden – Whitehawk

We worked with the Permaculture Trust to develop planting plans and plant selections. The Healthcare CIC have begun planting the fruit trees and plan to complete the planting of 15 major trees and 40 fruit and nut trees in the coming planting season.

Preston Manor

Preston Manor volunteers have planted three trees in the Manor’s Edwardian Walled Garden.

Bulstrode Farm, Ovingdean

The site

We planted a copse of 17 native forest trees and 32 understory trees to increase biodiversity and to mask industrial agricultural buildings on the city fringe in autumn 2021.
