Join a leading countryside organisation as a part-time administrator

20th February 2024

Are you an excellent organiser, with an eye for detail, office experience and a desire to make things work smoothly and looking for a varied role as part of a small friendly team? Do you care about Sussex’s beautiful countryside and protecting and improving the environment? The countryside charity, CPRE Sussex, could have the role for you!

We are looking for a part-time Administrator to join our dynamic, friendly team of staff and volunteers. You’ll play a central role in the efficient and effective running of our small, but incredibly impactful charity including managing our office, supporting our Board, Director and network of development planning volunteers, and assisting on projects such as our annual Countryside Day and Tree Festival, as well as the South Downs Network.

Over the course of more than 50 years, CPRE Sussex has helped protect ancient woodland; fight for the creation of the South Downs National Park; oppose fracking, road-building and inappropriate development; plant hedgerows; and commission cutting-edge research on solar energy. If you’d like to be part of our next 50 years, we would love to hear from you.

One-1-year contract initially, with the possibility of extension. 18.75 hours per week, £25k pro-rata.

You can find the full Job Description and Person Specification at: Administrator Job Description

To apply for the role please submit an up-to-date CV and a covering letter (setting out how your experience, knowledge and skills meet each of the criteria in the Person Specification and why you think you are the person we are looking for) to info@cpresussex.org.uk

Closing Date for applications is 5pm on Thursday 14 March 2024.

Interviews will be held on Friday 22 March 2024, at our offices at Blackboys, near Uckfield.
