7 September: CPRE Sussex Countryside Day, Knepp Estate, West Sussex

30th December 2023

In its 2nd year, the CPRE Sussex Countryside Day is a celebration of everything that is good about the countryside.  Knepp is the Sussex home to rewilding and host of the event positioned alongside their kitchen garden and restaurant.

In its first year it was a huge success with a wonderful array of stalls and activities, so thank you to all that supported it. This year is set for bigger things as many lessons have been learnt to the popularity of the talks and catering, so expect more ambitious plans, whilst maintaining a strict ethos to the planet, nature, and the wellbeing benefits to us all.

The event is organised by the Sussex branch of the national charity, Campaign to Protect Rural England.

We seek those that can bring something to the event in the form of demonstration and/or talk.  Email back to this address now: info@cpresussex.org.uk

Stallholder application forms will be issued in March with the deadline at the end of July.  A selection process will take place and successful candidates will be notified the first week of July.  To obtain an application form email info@cpresussex.org.uk

Charity/ organisation stalls will again be free, but they do have to bring an activity/ educational factor relating to the countryside, environment, produce from the land, enhancing nature, and wellbeing.

If you would like to volunteer, please email: info@cpresussex.org.uk

This year the national charity head office is to set CPRE Countryside Day as an annual event.  Other regional branches are seeking to roll out events to celebrate the countryside such as walks, talks, and smaller events.
