Changes to national planning policy are imminent that will have far-reaching consequences for the future of Sussex and its communities and natural environment, are now the subject of an open consultation.

This pivotal consultation: ‘Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill: reforms to national planning policy’, was launched by the Government without publicity on 22 December 2022, closing 2 March 2023 at 11.45pm.  The Government will respond to the consultation by Spring 2023, publishing the National Planning Policy Framework revisions ‘as part of this’, so that ‘policy changes can take effect as soon as possible’.
